Bingham fluorites are well known for their blue/purple color. The Blanchard Mine in New Mexico is actually a lead mine, but the fluorite specimens that come from this locality are brilliantly colored and highly sought after by collectors for this reason. Since fluorite is not its primary resource, it can be difficult to get decent specimens from this locality as many are destroyed in the mining process.

Pure fluorite is clear – each layer and band is formed from different deposits of solution with various impurities and natural radiation over time, leaving behind gorgeous colors.

Metaphysically, fluorite can help to bridge the gap between heart and mind allowing us to focus on making the best possible decisions with both worlds, and remaining calm and adaptable.
