Kunzite is a highly sought after mineral not only because of it’s insane pink color, but because when faceted and polished they can be gorgeously added to jewelry and other adornments. In its natural form, it is distinct because of its formation and the striations in the mineral which makes it instantly recognizable.

It’s named after famed gemologist George Frederick Kunz, who was the first to identify it as a unique variety of spodumene.
