These gemmy, dark slabs show a lot of the different habits of lepidolite. You can clearly see the lithium as well as how the mineral forms in the vein. Varying in size, they average about 3×3″ and about a quarter inch thick with some larger and some slightly smaller.

The lithium rich mineral can come in many colors including red, yellow, purple, grey and clear. Though, purple tends to be the most prevalent color seen.

Metaphysically, lepidolite is often applied to balance mood swings, and to calm a hyper-aroused central nervous system.
