These pink beauties are part of the Corundum group which is better known as ruby. Sapphires even share the same chemical composition as ruby, but different solutions during their formation. Chromium turns sapphires pink; they are highly sought after and can be on the more rare side. There is some debate on whether or not pink sapphire is dyed or treated to increase the saturation of the pink. It can be hard to tell, but it doesn’t change that these are phenominally adorable facets.
