Septarian is formed during the sand concretion of a mud ball where yellow calcite crystallized in the cracks. These cracks start out narrow at first and then open up into larger cavities.

They are known as pseudofossils as it takes some time for them to form and are organic material.

Metaphysically, septarian nurtures and grounds the wearer to bring about feelings of happiness and understanding. It is said to improve the communication skills of the holder.
