Deeply pink and insanely gorgeous, these polished forms of thulite are a variety of zoisite containing trivalent and are originally described coming from Norway. The name comes from the ancient name of Scandinavia, and a mythical island, “Thule”.

Thulite is on the harder end of the Mohs scale at somewhere between 6 and 7. Almost as hard as quartz. Thulite is mainly used as a gemstone and carving material in the manufacture of jewelry and ornamental objects.
