Thuya wood is rare, shrubby conifer that is indigenous to the Southern Morocco area.

These trees are part of a softwood evergreen species that is famous for its aroma, deep color, and swirl-like grain. It’s perfect for hand crafted projects, but the population of this tree is sparse.

Metaphysically, thuya wood has been nicknames “tree of life”, not only for curing scurvy, but for its tendancy to resist rot and live for an extremely long time. In some cases up to 800 years!! It’s no wonder that these symbolize strength, long life, and everlasting friendship.
