Wulfenite is a gorgeously orange specimen that often appears in almost square crystal formations, and many times paired with mimetite.

Los Lamentos did not start as a wulfenite mining venture. Two companies were mining two different claims here: Erupcion Mine and Ahumada Mine; eventually, they merged into one company to continue mining after about 500 ft. Supposedly, you can see the different styles of mining and concentration above that level. No wulfenite of significance has been found above 500ft. The best wulfenites were collected in the late 1960s at about 700ft according to mindat. The accounts state that miners worked in waist deep water to mine the wulfenite specimens.

Metaphysically, wulfenite is fantastic for embracing individuality, and chasing after creative and artistic pursuits in music, art, and fashion.
